Facial cupping is an ancient practice that has been around for centuries in Chinese, Tibetan, Vietnamese and Japanese healing traditions. Native Americans have also used cupping.
I learnt this therapy with Ziggie Bergman at the London School of Reflexology. Facial cupping is very different to the application of cups that are used for body cupping. Facial cupping is the gentle application of facial cups to encourage lymphatic drainage and sculpt and contour the neck and face. It is done by the process of shot bursts of suction on the face and neck using small soft cups. It can reduce puffiness around the eyes, sculpt the neck and jawline and encourage collagen and elastin production. New blood flow and nutrients will encourage a healthier complexion.
It is good for health problems such as sinus problems, hayfever, headaches, migraines, bells palsy, earaches, teeth grinding, scars.
For beauty it is useful for reducing wrinkles and lines, firming the skin tone and muscles, helps reduce pore size, puffy eyes, increase blood production, clears skin and leaves a healthy glow.
Before starting I will clean the face and use facial oil. It does not hurt and most people find it very soothing.
Men can also benefit from facial cupping.
Treatments offered, 30 mins or 1 hour.
